TQ-Global Master Student Scholarship Program 3rd Intake
The Company (www.tq-global.com)
The main business of TQ-Global is in game development, and they have delivered “Baja-Edge of Control” in 2008. The game, available on Xbox and PS3, is the first such game ever produced in Singapore. Currently, they are working on state-of-the-art 3D Arcade Game and MMO.
TQ-Global had previously received IDM-NRF (National Research Foundation) funding in research, and MDA grant in game development. The company was also awarded a patent in China for the game engine developed in-house.
TQ-Global Game R & D Master Degree Scholarship
TQ Global has been offering Masters Program scholarships since 2006 and they have since sponsored 21 Master students under this program. The scholarship program will be a Masters Program by Research. Selected candidates will work on designated R & D project that is game related to help push the game development envelope and to make Singapore the global center for next generation and advance game development.
TQ-Global will pay for all tuition fees and provide a monthly stipend ranging from S$2,200 to $2,500, depending on the ability of the individual. For more information on past R&D efforts and papers published under this program please see (http://www.idgt.org/R&D/research.html)
Terms and Condition
All candidates will be bonded to work for TQ-Global upon graduation for 2 years. If the student decides not to work for TQ-Global after graduation, the student will have to reimburse TQ-Global for the tuition fees and the stipends paid.
Qualification for application
The program is open to all Singaporean and non-Singaporean students. The candidate must fulfill all entrance requirements of NTU and possess at least a Second Honors degree. All applicants are also subjected to go through an aptitude test.

TQ-Global–IDGT 1 Year Scholarship for Diploma in Advance Game Programming and Technical Artist. ( www.idgt.org)
IDGT ( www,idgt.org ) will offer 6 one-year scholarships for students who are interested to acquire an advance Diploma in Advance Game Programming and Technical Artist offered by Institute for Digital Game Technology. This one year program is sponsored by WDA and IDGT. The program combines learning real world game making techniques and practical on the job training with Singapore and overseas companies. This is the first Scholarship ever offered by IDGT.
IDGT Scholarship
The IDGT scholarship program will offer the candidate a WDA Diploma on the above subject. The candidate will study with other students at IDGT and provide basic level support to IDGT staff on a basis that will not interfere with the studies and class work.
All scholarship recipients will have their internship with TQ-Global during their industrial attachment period.
IDGT will pay for all tuition fees together on top of providing a monthly stipend of S$1,000. The candidate will work on TQ-Global designated R & D projects, and for more information on past R&D efforts and papers published under this program please see (http://www.idgt.org/R&D/research.html)

All scholarship recipients will be bonded to work for TQ-Global upon for 1 year, otherwise the recipient will have to reimburse TQ-Global for the tuition fees and stipend paid.

TQ-Global-ACDN Master Student Scholarship 2nd intake
ACDN (Alternative Content Distribution Network, Ltd) is a wholly owned subsidiary of TQ-Global (http://www.acdnetwork.com/index.html). The main business of ACDN is in digital content distribution through digital cinema and the internet. ACDN is a technology driven company with research into highspeed network (10Gbps and higher), JPEG2000, video codec development, digitization and repurposing of video, compression and encryption, network security, and use of GPU technology in film restoration and image processing and enhancement.
ACDN received financial support from MDA, and was awarded a tender contract from MDA to digitize and repurpose the entire tape library for distribution.
ACDN R&D Master Degree Scholarship
The scholarship program will be a Masters Degree Program by Research. The right candidate will work on R & D projects that are related to their Digital Film Technology Lab (http://www.tqglobal.cn/companies.html). They are interested in research and development in video encryption technology, GPU application in video compression and repurposing. DFTLab offers the best research facility in Cell-SPUR engine for video compression and repurposing, GPU application video processing and restoration works, and image archiving using JPEG2000 lossless technology, Network Operation Center technology
