The Scheme is an initiative by the Media Development Authority (MDA) to support the research and development of original and innovative applications, services and devices for digital radio, television and interactive digital media solutions.

Eligibility Criteria

1. The applicant must be registered as a legal entity and incorporated in Singapore;
2. The legal entity can be owned by local or foreign shareholders, subject to the provisions of the Companies Act (Cap.50)
3. R&D projects should be Interactive Digital Media (IDM) related;
4. R&D projects can be technological, creative, business model testing, or sociological in nature;
5. The R&D outcome should lead to significant improvements in bringing value-add services to the broadcasting or interactive digital media industry; or lead to tangible outcomes such as investment for the new product, introduction of new services or adoption of new technology; and
6. Projects must not have commenced at the time of application.

Application Procedure
Interested parties may send in their application form accompanied by the company’s proposal.
Please include the following details in the proposal:
Executive Summary

• Executive summary of the complete project plan; and
• Key benefits and impact of the project on the broadcasting and interactive digital media industry.

Applicant’s Company Profile

• Registrar-of-Companies (ROC) records; and
• Key business activities.

Form of Assistance
Under the Scheme, MDA will provide assistance through grants to cover up to 50% of the total qualifying cost of the project. Examples of major allowable costs are:

• Equipment and Materials
• Professional Services
• Intellectual Property Rights
