Elite gamers from the region will be in Singapore next month for the World Cyber Games 2008 Asian Championship.

Some 140 top gamers from 14 Asian countries are expected to take part in the competition from August 9-10. The World Cyber Games Singapore National Championships will be held earlier, on August 7-8.

Both games at Suntec Convention Centre will have a racing theme. The 14 official games which will be played include Halo 3, Asphalt 4 and Guitar Hero III.
