A Preferred Test-bed
Singapore’s commitment to IDM R&D has gained both local and international recognition, and we are starting to see increased use of IDM among key Demand Drivers, who are piloting local IDM innovation in translational research.
We are establishing a strong talent base to support the burgeoning IDM sector. Practically all our major universities and polytechnics have established cross-disciplinary IDM centres, building up substantive local capacity within our Institutes of Higher Learning (IHLs). The IDM Institutes at NTU and NUS (IMI and IDMI) have been established and will involve hundreds of cross-disciplinary researchers.
Co-creation activities are being implemented with agencies such as the National Heritage Board, SingHealth and the National Library Board and IDMPO has also secured the commitment with other demand drivers such as the National Day Parade for the implementation of IDM applications. We will continue to explore co-creation initiatives in tourism, sports, design, retail and entertainment so that IDM will become the transformative force for local developments.
Common Services

As part of preferred testbed initiative, we encourage companies and projects to share their assets, resources and services created in their R&D projects. Some organizations are also coming out to share some of their resources voluntarily.
Companies that like to share their resources, and join the network can contact arthur_fong@mda.gov.sg with subject “common services” with more information.
