EON Reality hosts the staff and students from Temasek Polytechnic at What’s Next Studio and SMF
By admin • Jul 9th, 2010 • Category: Press ReleasesEON Reality was very pleased to host a delegation from Temasek Polytechnic (Dept. of Engineering) and 50 students at Fusionopolis this Friday. It was a great opportunity to share EON’s visions and R&D activities in Singapore with the future protagonists of Engineering in Singapore and worldwide.
As Mr Sridhar Sunkad said in his welcome note, we are honoured to continue and expand our long-term relationship with Singapore educational leaders like Temasek Polytechnic and have the opportunity to meet both students and faculty staff on an ongoing-basis.
We were keen to share the potential of our technologies and direction for future development in terms of Ubiquitous and Immersive Learning. As emphasized by Mr Daniel Rongo, EON Reality aims not only to satisfy the Educational demand, but also to shape its future course based on the needs of digital natives and the latest technologies.
The objective is to build both an effective and engaging tool which will revitalize the Education System and revolutionize the way students learn.
Our Authoring Software (EON Studio/Professional/Ultra) is the starting point to make this possible, as it offers a unique opportunity to make your models come to life with 3D Visualization and Animation. With its easy-to-use approach, EON Studio will lead to the next step: Online Collaboration.
In fact, our target was to develop collaborative software to bridge the gap between “fun” and “learning.” EON Coliseum provides the solution. Entirely developed in Singapore, Coliseum is an online multiuser platform which allows you to host and join virtual meetings, share 3D models, PowerPoint presentations, videos, images and other files. As illustrated by Mr Kelvin Lee, EON Coliseum is extremely easy to use (5-steps) and allows your institutions to act as a protagonist in the global education arena.

The enthusiasm of being part of such an ambitious project was shared by Mr Ruban Ramachandran who has been working closely on the EON Coliseum technical project. He feels confident this will position EON Reality as worldwide pioneers of 3D Virtual Meeting solutions for Education.
The excitement has been shared by our Temasek Poly Interns who are enjoying the experience to work within a leading 3D Technology company and are delivering amazing results. Their imagination and skills are being fully utilized at EON, where we recognize their efforts and make sure we give them the best experience possible.
EON Reality success in Singapore is made possible by the continuing long-term partnership with local educational institutions. Through its R&D efforts in Singapore, EON is committed to deliver the best solutions for improving learning systems and for contributing to positioning Singapore as the worldwide leader in Education and Innovation.
