Cyber-gaming is no longer the exclusive purview of geeks. The multi-billion dollar cyber-gaming industry both in Singapore and the Asia-Pacific region is “a serious business” that is growing rapidly, a minister said yesterday.

Worldwide, revenue from cyber-games are projected to reach US$9.8 billion in 2009, with Asia-Pacific in the driving sear with Us$4.2 billion in contributions, Senior Minister for State for Education and Information, Communications and the Arts Lui Tuck Yew said, citing figues from market research and consulting form DFC Intelligence.
