FutureMedia/ FutureWorld Co-Space Testbeds Call for Participation

Background

IDMPO has supported two Co-Space TestBed pilots in NTU (FutureWorld Co-Space testbed) and Temasek Polytechnic (FutureMedia Co-Space testbed).

The TestBed Pilots aim to bridge the gap between R&D outcomes and commercialization by providing:

• Common Services, such as APIs and data-sets, to be used in the development of new products and services
• Test-Users, to help validate and test the developed products and services
• Go-To-Market partners, to help commercialization of developed products and services

By utilizing the elements above, the TestBed Pilots aim to help to speed up the development of innovative IDM products and services, and enable rapid validation and testing,and commercialization of these products and services.

The Testbeds would like to invite companies to submit proposals to participate in their Call for participation.

Future media co-space test-bed

The vision for FutureMedia is that it will provide the means to share and distribute new, innovative FutureMedia content and services.

Hence, a Co-Space Test-Bed environment necessary to nurture innovative made-in-Singapore FutureMedia products, services and applications is made available in Temasek Polytechnic (TP), leveraging on TP’s 30 hectares-campus, 15,000-student population and the i-Digital Campus infrastructure which includes the setup of a signage system on campus, as well as a LED wall.

Futureworld test-bed

FutureWorld Co-Space Test-Bed (FutureWorld in short)in NTU, aims to aggregate common services available from industry and research institutions for creating innovative products as well as supporting test-bedding activities. FutureWorld focuses on designing, modeling and integrating of the real and virtual worlds and its impact on how we live, play and learn.

Industrial companies will benefit from FutureWorld’s common services and partners in the development period. They can leverage strong research capability from universities. They will have great opportunities to expose their new products / services to a large pool of massive test users in the testing period
