Background
SyQic Capital Pte Ltd (SyQic) is  calling for proposals to further enhance its OTT-IPTV Media StoreFront, “YoonicStore” with rich media contents, innovative ideas and interactive applications. 

YoonicStore is designed to cater to consumers worldwide.  This new Interactive Media Streaming platform is a one-stop video storefront that incorporates social networking, a powerful search engine and online purchasing. 

Its highly innovative ecosystem integrates buying, sharing and selling of exclusive high quality media content by renowned content owners from around the world.  Collaboration with major Telcos and Broadcasters in the region, not only provides YoonicStore with a ready and reliable network infrastructure required for streaming, it also allows SyQic to tap on their existing viewership and subscriber base.

 YoonicStore is scheduled to be launched in Q4 of 2011 and the service will be available to consumers worldwide on various devices such as Set-Top Box(STB), Connected TV, laptop, computers, tablets and mobile phones.

About the call
Through this call for proposals, Technology Partners and Content Providers  can take this opportunity to reach out to a global subscriber base by commercializing their products on SyQic’s YoonicStore.

 Application Developers:

• Automated Transcoding of Content into various formats and specifications
• Video Streaming Player with Multi-Lingual selection capabilities
• Browser-based Applications and Interactive Games for devices such as Connected TV and Set-Top Box(STB)

 Event Organisers and Content Owners:

• Stream ‘Pay-per-View’ Live Events and VOD contents
• Opportunities for Monetization via Interactive Advertising and Online Ticketing

Support for successful applicants
Syqic will provide technical know-how and API support for developing for the YoonicStore. The following resource will be provided:

• Platform and environment (Test-bed)
• Publishing and deployment support to YoonicStore
• Commercialisation arrangement

Innovative proposals will be considered for funding under start-up and industry funding schemes. All shortlisted projects will be able to get test-bedding support from IDM Innovation Platform.
