Background
Samsung Electronics and MDA have jointly organized a call-for-proposal for the development of educational TV apps. The CFP aims to increase consumer choices for self-learning at home and promote interest in science, technology, engineering and mathematics.
About the call
Samsung is calling for educational TV apps to be developed for the Samsung SMART TV platform and ecosystem. The educational apps should target users up to tertiary level education. Project proposals should focus on innovative use of Interactive Digital Media for education.
Support for successful applicants
Samsung will provide shortlisted developers with tools, technical content and support that they require to create the TV apps, as well as 24-7 access to Samsung’s Developer’s Forum, which they can tap resources such as developer toolkits.
Samsung will also facilitate the publishing of the shortlisted apps onto the Samsung Smart Hub.
Innovative proposals will be considered for funding under start-up and industry funding schemes. All shortlisted projects will be able to get test-bedding support from IDM Innovation Platform.
