FutureMedia Call for Proposals
The vision of Future of Media is to pull together companies and combine collectively their user base, distribution networks, development platforms and marketing/ promotion resources with a common goal of accelerating the path to global market and success. Nokia, Garena and Personal eMotions are calling for proposals, details are as follows.
CFP #1 Nokia
Nokia is the world’s number one manufacturer of mobile devices by market share and a leader in the converging Internet and communications industries. We make a wide range of devices for all major consumer segments and offer Internet services that enable people to experience music, maps, media, messaging and games.
Offerings
- Technical support and information for Singapore developers and a global distribution channel to consumers through the Ovi Store and other Nokia channels.
- Forum Nokia Support Package – 1-year Forum Nokia PRO membership- Prototype device loans, discounted device purchase, complimentary tech support cases, SDK and tools for development, waiver of Ovi Store publishing fees, priority queuing for Ovi Store, marketing promotion of application on Ovi Store in mass media

Specific Eligibility Requirements
- Development must utilize web run-time technology
- Deliverables must be able to run on Nokia S60 3rd Edition Feature Pack 2 (e.g. E52) and/or Nokia S60 5th Edition devices (e.g. N97).
CFP #2 PEM
Personal e-Motion (PEM) creates innovative enabling technologies for e-learning, publishing, social media and entertainment. Its flagship product, KooBits, is a new generation IDM platform which instantly equips other websites and applications with advanced interactive and intelligent digital media capability, enabling them to create, gather and distribute engaging digital content easily and quickly.

Access to schools and educational institutions:
- Email and direct access to the IT or ~500 language teachers from 475 schools in Singapore and across the SEA region (THL, IND, PHL & MAL)
Access to individual customers/users:
- Email and direct access to 5,000 active students users of IDM in learning

- 10 hours of free consultancy and training on how to leverage on KooBits

CFP #3 Garena
Garena Interactive is an online gaming service provider headquartered in Singapore. Its flagship
product, Garena, is one of the most sought-after gaming platforms which house an online gamer community of around 14 million registered users worldwide. Gamers can play games altogether from any corner of the world through Garena, as if they all play within one cyber café.

Application must be returned by 28th February 2010. It can submitted electronically to mda_idmpo_officer1@mda.gov.sg or by post to MDA office.
Termination of Project
In the event that the applicant decides to terminate the project, the applicant would have to compensate MDA and the publishing partners by refunding the entire sum of funds which has been disbursed to applicants at the time of termination.
