 2C2P Wins GMIC 2010 Innovation Show in Beijing

SINGAPORE (May 28, 2010) – Today, Singapore-based payment service provider 2C2P was declared winner of the Global Mobile Internet Conference 2010Innovation Show held in Beijing, China, beating out 19 other finalists from Asia, USA and Europe.

The Innovation Show is an annual showcase of cutting-edge mobile-internet based innovations from around the world, and is a part of the Global Mobile Internet Conference, the largest event focused on mobile internet in China.

The Innovation Show finalists were judged by a committee of respected venture capitalists and angel investors, including Dave McClure of Founders Fund, William Bao Bean of Softbank Holdings, Paul Asel and Weihan Liu of Nokia Growth Partners, Jui Tan of BlueRun Ventures, and Harry Man of Matrix Partners.

This is the second win for 2C2P’s mobile payment offering after the company created its mobile division last year. In July 2009, 2C2P’s mobile credit card payment terminal prototype was declared Grand Prize Winner of the Nokia Calling All Innovators Award (Emerging Markets & Mobile Necessities Category). The full “2C2P Mobile” product showcased in the Innovation Show includes the credit card payment terminal, as well as a peer-to-peer money transfer and mobile wallet solution, altogether offering a fullservice B2B, B2C and C2C mobile payment solution for Asia-Pacific.

Around 1,000 industry leaders from Asia, Europe and North America attended the conference, including top representatives from TenCent, eBay, PayPal, Alibaba, Opera Software, AdMob, SK Telecom, China Unicom and Baidu.
